Ryan Kruger, CFA
Managing Partner
About Ryan.
Ryan Kruger, CFA, is the Managing Partner of 10Elms, LLP, and has over 17 years of financial management experience. He has held notable roles, such as Partner at KHP Capital and Head of Investments for Capital One Investing, where he developed several investment models and oversaw over $1 billion in private-client assets. Earlier in his career, Ryan was an early-stage employee at two successful start-ups: CadenceQuest (acquired by Accenture in 2010) and Cvent (NASDAQ: CVT), where he served in key roles in finance, strategy, marketing, and service delivery.
Ryan co-founded 10 Elms with Julie Hazzard in 2022 to create an authentic and personal multifamily office like you would experience in a family-owned neighborhood restaurant. His leadership extends beyond the firm to his involvement with London Business School, where he holds key roles on the Governing Body, the Endowment Investment Committee, and serves as Alumni Council Chair.
Ryan holds a BS in Business from Carnegie Mellon University and an MS in Finance from London Business School, along with the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. He believes the key to team excellence and client connection lies in being ourselves, working together, and treating colleagues and clients as friends—values that have become core to 10Elms.
Why are you in this industry
I started my career in management consulting and technology. When my family experienced some health issues, I decided to move back closer to home so I could help them through those challenges. Through this experience, I found opportunities not only to support my family, but to use my knowledge and consulting approach to help other families as well. Now, as a father myself, I bring a better understanding of the desire to help future generations and set them up for success as well.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Living in London gives me the opportunity to explore sites and sounds that some people wait a lifetime to experience. I love exploring my adopted hometown and connecting with friends from all over the world. Through these connections, I remain very involved with my business school to give back to the institution that helped me to have the life I enjoy today. When I have time, I continue to train for endurance events, especially triathlons, and look for opportunities to show my son Kameron new cities, while also making sure that he’s well connected to his family and friends in the USA.
